As the Vice President of Space Products, Alan Frohbieter is responsible for program performance in support of the Civil and Operational Space and National Defense strategic business units. His responsibilities include program execution, system design, product area operations, and support of Advanced Systems teams. He also works closely with the various support organizations required for program execution including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, business management and mission assurance.
Alan has had many positions of leadership at Ball Aerospace. Most recently he served as the Vice President of Operations for the Civil and Operational Space strategic business unit. He was also formerly the Director of Program Operations for the Operational Space and Commercial Space Operations business units. Alan joined Ball Aerospace as the Program Manager for the QuickBird program in the mid-1990s.
Prior to joining Ball Aerospace Alan had a 14-year career Lockheed Martin Astro Space (formally RCA AstroSpace). While at Lockheed Martin, Alan served in various roles including program management, systems engineering and spacecraft design engineering.
Alan earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University. His hometown is East Windsor, NJ.
