Thomas Deany is the Vice President of Human Resources for Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. He leads all aspects of the company’s HR function including recruitment, engagement, training, development, compensation and benefits for the company.
Tom has a wealth of human resources experience in industries ranging from high technology to consumer products. His expertise covers many areas, including strategic partnering, performance management, employee development and training, succession planning, employee/labor relations, employment law, and mediation/conflict resolution.
Prior to joining Ball Aerospace, Tom served as vice president of Human Resources for Leprino Foods, Ultimate Electronics and netLibrary. Tom’s experience also includes senior HR roles with Coors Brewing Company, Neodata, Kraft Foods and Miller Brewing Company.
Tom holds a J.D. Law, a master’s degree in Labor and Industrial Relations, and a bachelor’s in Business from the University of Illinois. Tom has been a labor relations instructor, a guest speaker at Marquette University and the University of Colorado, trained as an executive coach and mediator, and was accepted to the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Services roster of arbitrators. Tom is a member of the Wisconsin State Bar, and also serves on the Board of Directors of Boulder County’s Emergency Family Assistance Association (EFAA).
