John D. Campbell

Legislative Affairs
John Campbell is the vice president of Legislative Affairs for Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. In this role, he is responsible for representing the interests of Ball Aerospace before Congress. In this capacity, he is also responsible for developing and executing the legislative strategy for Ball Aerospace at the federal, state and local levels ensuring lawmakers are aware of the programs and policy issues important to the company. He also supports Ball Corporation’s congressional activities.
John has been with the company since 1998. Previously, he served as the company’s director of Legislative Affairs. Prior to joining Ball Aerospace, John was the manager of Congressional Information Services for Federal Sources, Inc. (FSI), an information technology market research and consulting firm. He began his career as a legislative aide to New York Congressman Amo Houghton (R-NY), serving in both the district and Washington, D.C. offices.
John holds a bachelors degree in political science from the State University of New York (SUNY) College at Brockport and a master’s degree in public policy from George Mason University. He is the recipient of a number of academic and professional awards, including AIAA National Capital Section Marvin C. Demler award and the Ball Aerospace Excellence Award which he has received twice.
John is a past president of the National Space Club and has also served as the public policy chair for the AIAA National Capital Section.
