As Vice President, Strategic Development, Tim is responsible for strategic planning and execution; leading several key Ball Aerospace-level initiatives and acting as the interface for Ball Corporation on new business development opportunities.
Tim has more than 30 years of design, manufacturing, program management , project and systems engineering experience supporting aerospace industry and government customers.
Tim most recently served as the vice president and general manager of Ball’s National Defense strategic business unit. In that role, he was responsible for the acquisition and execution of defense and intelligence-related programs. Under Tim’s leadership, National Defense achieved record sales and demonstrated solid program performance across the entire portfolio. This strong program performance and customer focus established new growth opportunities with key government customers.
Since joining Ball Aerospace in 1996, Tim served as a director of business development, defense programs and several mission areas for National Defense. He has served in other technical and managerial roles and was the program manager for three of our largest programs at Ball, including the Space-Based Space Surveillance (SBSS) satellite. Tim has also worked on the Modular Star Sensor (MSS), the Stratospheric Aerosol and Gas Experiment (SAGE), and Hubble’s Near-Infrared Camera and Multi-Object Spectrometer (NICMOS).
Before joining Ball Aerospace, Tim held positions at Rockwell International (Rocketdyne), United Technologies and McDonnell Douglas.
Tim earned a bachelor of science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida and has completed post-graduate work at Florida Atlantic University.
