Ball Aerospace Message on Colorado Flood
September 16, 2013
Ball Aerospace reopened its Boulder campus for business on Monday, Sept. 14, after being closed on Thursday, Sept. 12 & Friday, Sept. 13 due to severe flooding in Boulder.
Ball’s production and environmental test facilities remained safe from the flood waters, and no program hardware was exposed or at risk. Minor damage was sustained to a few office buildings on Ball’s Boulder campus, and employees working there have been temporarily relocated to other offices while repairs are made.
Ball has approximately 1,800 employees working on the Boulder campus, which means we are still in the process of assessing how many employees have been personally affected by the flood. The corporation is also developing options to help with recovery in Boulder and the many surrounding communities impacted by the catastrophic event.
